Did you try to find out the sources of traffic or how it was getting good traffic?? Well i will tell you. I own a forum with same software platform i.e phpbb, and it was literally open and after initial setup I really did'nt check and once I did I found it filled with spam !! Same with your site. Any traffic that is coming is only for posting spam messages or not even real, only spam bot traffic. If you can still, reverse the sale. Not, if you still like to keep the site but, for $510 I could buy a fresh domain, pay someone $25-$50 for a good forum setup and the rest in building traffic and memberbase.
